ABOUT THE PRODUCER - Monica Link

For those who don't already know, Monica Link is the writer, producer and founder of Link4Productions based in the fabulous city of Detroit. You all know her as the writer, singer and producer of stage plays BE MADE WHOLE, THE CHURCH FOLK & the new play BITTER. Here are some things you don't know about Monica Link. Monica grew up on the east side of Detroit. She is from a blue-collar union family. Her love for reading, books and learning began at a young age. At three-years-old she was able to recite the "Pledge of Allegiance" and memorize the names of our nation's top political figures. As a child, her favorite food was hot dogs. It is still her favorite food at family picnics. Her first car was a blue 1998 Dodge Shadow. To date Monica calls it her "favorite car". She inspires others to live their dreams as she pushes herself to do the same. For the 2009-2010 season of shows she traveled to New York and worked on Broadway to learn more about the business. The photo you see above was taken by Monica in New York City. Now back in Detroit, Monica Link is producing a revival of her hit play "The Church Folk".
